rebs50, from what I can tell, they both look like hens. How old are they?? The look young. Do you have other birds? If so, are these turkeys separted from the other brids? What do you plan on feeding them? Do you have any front/chest view pics of them?

Ugh. The real setback to being a farm girl..... I feel awful but had to tend to my animals before myself. Have too many critters relying on me to just mope. :sick

I hope you feel better soon. It must be hard to tend to critters when you are sick. Get well soon. It's hard to find someone to do that. My friend in SC wants me to go visit her, but I can't bec I tend to my anomals twice a day or more, and that's assuming all of them are well. I told her she would have to come visit me. I don't mind at all bec I enjoy my babies so much. Some day I might look for someone that can do it. My grand kids can't bec they have school and my daughter would have to drive them over twice a day and she is so busy. I think it would be a pet sitters dream job easy breezy. Lol

A little nervous. When out taking care of the girls this morning, I noticed a few black (tiny) spots on their combs. Not everyone had them. It seems that only my most mature hens. I came back in and looked at all sorts of "dry pox" pictures, but doesn't look like it...yet. I did read about "pecking" spots, plus they have been hanging out in the afternoon under one of my husbands tool trailers. My easter egger (Edna) had what looked like a small cut on top of her comb. She seemed to be a favorite of Horn Dog Harry yesterday afternoon, so I really hoping it's a small cut from him.

I'll go out later and see if I can rub one of the spots and see what happens. Everyone is acting "normal". I didn't want to bother them this morning, as they were so enjoying their live meal worm treat.

Ohhhh, I hope it's nothing major!!!!

Can you get a close up pic and post for us to see?

The treats that I give them are plenty of fruits and veggies from the local watermelon and fruit man. He stops by every day and tosses over the fence all of the watermelon (during season), other fruit and veggies that he didn't sell for that day. I also feed them eggs and cat food. They love Kit and Kaboodles cat food. I also toss bread from them from time to time. I get free bread at the local bread store.

Aaannnd.......the "watermelon man" would probably be a contributing factor in having "fertile acres"!!!

Glad your pea hens have stopped laying.......(if they have don't read this and start up again
