"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

I am starting to like my over pooping meaties more and more now. I didn't think I would consider another batch after this one because of how messy they are even with free ranging, however now I am planning my next batch in the spring. Seems the only way to be safe is to grow and raise your own. Now only if I could find a banana tree... My kids are obsessed with them and Mexico is starting to use GM trees to combat bugs and spoilage. From what I have read they are mixing them with genetics of bell peppers (to keep longer) and pesticides (for the bugs). I also wish we had a pick your own berry farm on my side of the state, I hate growing blackberries and raspberries as they seem to reach out and grab you.

I have Banana trees. This is the first year I've had 5 blooms. After I harvest this year you can have one if you want. Find someone strong to help dig it up. I didn't know they had pest problem I haven't had any problems with pest only hurricanes. I don't use pesticides only compost and green sand.P

I would love one. It was a news story that I read. Considering Mexico has a contaminated water problem it doesn't surprise me that they would have a pest problem as well.

Creepy!!! I was looking for the link to the story so you guys could read up on it further and I found something way worse!

I guess that takes care of all the parents not wanting to vaccinate their kids. I think it should be a personal choice. I don't know how true this is as this is the first time I have seen mother nature network but I will look into them to see how valid they are.

Edit:

Backed it up with several other trusted sources.

Molecular pharming: vaccine bananas are expected to be used for the production of vaccines. For that purpose, DNA sequences of specific disease proteins are channelled into the banana genome. By consuming these bananas, the immune system builds antibodies to the pathogen proteins and accrues protection by vaccination. Research for vaccine bananas against hepatitis B, jaundice, cholera, polio, rubella/measles and diarrhoea is being done. These bananas are expected to be introduced in countries in which classical vaccine campaigns are only performed with difficulty.

Haven't they heard its not nice to fool with mother nature. Save your heirloom seeds at the rate things are going we won't know what we're eating or what's in it if we don't grow it ourselves.P

I also am loaded with banana trees and many are fruiting :)
Plenty of extras :)

Still need gloves but legs should be safe!

This has been depressing conversation the last day or so. It's getting so that you will have to grow and process your own everything, to ensure that it's even remotely safe to eat! I think "mother nature" is being messed with way too much.

My latest rant:

When my 12 year old BOY went in for his "well check", they wanted to give him the vaccine GARDASIL!!!!! It's CRAZY!!!!!

What the H*LL?!!??!! UMMM...he's a BOY...!!!!!!!!! One of my friends is very "conspiracy theory" about things, and I've always kind of teased her about it, however, she said that the "reactions" to the vaccine were getting too unfavorable and so to change that, they opened it up to boys too. It doubled their "base". I looked into it, and she was right!!! It's scary!!!

The things that "they" want us to blindly consume and give our children is very scary!!!!

On a lighter note:

This is the BEST seasoning mix EVER!!!! It's very simple. Please note that the cayenne part of the mix, I started with just a little until I could judge how hot my kids would like it. I have found for our family that 1tsp of cayenne works for us.

Here it is:

4 TBSP + 3 TBSP + 2 TBSP + 1 TBSP =
kosher brown sweet cayenne

salt sugar paprika pepper

Enough spice rub for two whole chickens. Double or triple the recipe and put extra in ziplock bag.

Try it...it's become a favorite at our house!!! I make a ton and put the extra in a ziplock.

Wow, that is a big area. I had them in planting boxes around the fence line. They seem to reach out in areas that you don't expect and grab your ankles. You never know they are there until they grad a hold. They don't seem to stay where you want them to.
