"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

In all honesty, I don't think my baby would even be interested in breeding. I really think that he will always be a baby and have "baby-like" tendencies. Kinda like a mama's boy who can't do anything on his own. I may be wrong but that's what I'm thinking about my baby. I know it sounds crazy but I that's what I'm thinking.
I'd bet you if a lil' ol' ewe came around there in the right season and way, a flippin' her dress tail around and batting those big ol eyelids

at him, that his hormones would go into overdrive

and things as you know him as would be different in just a short few minutes

. I'd bet a dime to a dollar on that one.

But I"m sure you're right. :gig

You ever see baby birds flying around happily eating at bugs and/or seeds until mama comes near, then its open mouths and pitiful, helpless chirps? That's how my bottle raised billy goat is. Luke is the man of the herd until his "parents" come around.

Forget the fact that he sired 3 kids this spring.

When I saw that face I wanted him so badly. Of course, living in a subdivision, I couldn't. Just keep yearning for that piece of land to be able to love on more animals.

Or like my spoiled rotten Catahoula mama dog here. Just today I was out to the barn and doing the normal noontime activities the young male had a fox squirrel treed and doing his job (right?) I looked over and there was the mama dog laying there chewing on a corn cob and like "yeah whatever, its too hot I'm not standing under that tree barking and carrying on like a doofus I'll just lie here in the shade thank you" so I get done and start out the barn and holler alright ya'll come on its time to go to the house. Well, this surprised her in her slothful moments, well she jumps up and runs over to the tree and starts barking and raising cane and looks over at me like "yeah I got this" doing her job too LOL I thought to myself you are one ruint dog and you know it too. LOL

I know we are and for good reason Its drier'n a popcorn fart here I think if a lightening bug had a wing failure or ran outta steam when it crashed here this place would go off like the fourth of July. I even slowed down my walking paces around here so as not to start any wildfires due to friction from my foot steps LOL its that bad especially considering the nice late springs moisture to now is a drastic turn around for sure.

I collect them, dust off gently in my shirt and set them on the porch in a 6 cup egg holder. They rest there until I have 6 then I set them in the farthest row of my 30 cup egg crate in the fridge. We use eggs from the front of crate so this helps keep them rotated but really, we go through our eggs so fast we don't *have* to but its good practice even with small numbers.
400

On really hot days ill bring them in and set in fridge immediately so I don't forget them in a few days worth of heat. All have tasted yummy and fresh.
When I give eggs away I don't refrigerate, I keep cool and safe indoors tho, I feel its safer to wait than to refrigerate, warm, refrigerate, warm...may not effect taste but I feel safer keeping them refriderated AFTER they have already been in the fridge. But when I am cooking the eggs I prefer mine Unrefrigerated, they cook up better for me.
I wash them  w/soap & warm water if they are dirty (usually not, so just brush them off w/a paper towel) & refrigerate them.

Just seeing your post.

What does the bottom of her foot look like? Do you have an area that you can place her in for a week or so so that she can have quiet time to give her leg time to heal?[/quote

Checked and it's clean, I looked closer and believe her middle toe is broken, it's pointed upward to the knuckle, then straight down.

WOW...I am so far behind it isn't even funny.  I tried to catch up last night and this morning, but every time I comment on something, it sends me to the end of all the posts and then I have to try and remember where I was.   :barnie    There's probably something I'm doing wrong (there usually is) but I haven't figured it out yet.  :/

I think everyone's acts of kindness are wonderful!  :bow    The smallest of things can start a wonderful "chain reaction" of good deeds.

Have a great day all!!!   Welcome back Jeff!!   Seen any guineas lately?

What ever happened with the horse you were caring for were you able to bring her to your house?
