"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

They need drug testing themselves. That would down size the Gov. I'm sure.

Wow, I missed that one. Come to think about I never have seen cops on 171 in Leesville... Sure, I do see empty parked cars but never cops...

That's what you get for leaving us for so long. Just think, Kuntrygirl was inactive for 2 days and Ron has been working out of town so it could have been much worse.

If I'm not mistaken. You are talking bout a hatch lift. It looks like a small shock. They run about 25 to 35 bucks. Just so happens I run a parts store in lake charles. Take a pick of what you need and send me a pm. Be glad to help.

No, one of the hinge pins for the rear glass(back hatch) fell out to get one you have to buy the whole hinge. They don't have it listed separate for her rig on the GM site I looked on (pretty good one too) The auto parts folks I have to deal with in Leesville  don't generally know a spark plug from a block pug. :rant Most just know that both, end in plug (warm bodies is all) :he LOL

Maybe with your resources you may be able to locate her one. I don't know any other options than the "stealership" or junkyard, honestly. At least you're in the right vicinity on the car  LOL I always go on the 'puter here and get my numbers in hand before I head off to town to get my parts LOL and most still want to know what I'm working on right off the bat.  After I get them to get me right part, then I'll go thru all that 'rigamarole' for the warranty purposes an all.  Not trying to cramp your style here :D but there's just very few "parts people" out there anymore. 'bout the same can be said for "mechanics" too  LOL

Jeff

I know what you mean, I have been for about 6 years. But have been a tomboy all my life.

Speaking of cars and not knowing squat.... My mother-in-law went to autozone to get a new car battery. They hooked it in backwards and KILLED her car.

If she is lucky they just fried a few fuses both under the hood and in the dash. If not, they fried her computer and that costs more than a new motor. Fuses under the hood can cost up $60 each and are there to protect from things like that amongst other things. Have them (or any auto parts store) connect the computer under the dash and read what comes up yourself. If it says anything about the car's computer make auto zone pay for a new car! If not make them pay for any repairs necessary.

Now about battery hookup: How the heck can they mess that up?????
he.gif
This is simple:
+ on battery = Positive
- on battery = Negative
Red wire on both car and jumper cables = Hot
Black wire on both car and jumper cables= Cold
Still with me? Red/+ and Black/-
A anyone even a 4 year old can do it the first time shown, how do they have a job at a parts store not knowing something that simple???
