"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

My "you know who" is my slave that I purchased about 5 years ago. He is held captive in my basement and I only let him out to build things. After that, he goes back into the basement. I don't talk about him too often for fear that I may be arrested for holding someone captive (kidnapping). If the authorities get wind of what I'm doing, I'm busted.

Yes, I did reference the baby opossums. People were just running over them in the street. That's not a fair game. You have to wait until they grow up and have a fighting chance in the cat and mouse game. A baby can't run away but an adolescent and an adult can. You gotta make it fun.

I completely agree! Babies are one thing, grown ups are fair game. If they are old enough to attack and/or kill my livestock without mom and dad, they are old enough to get shot.

I like targets to come to me too lol
Believe it or not, I kinda like seeing the critters. Keeps me current on my practice shooting hours.

It was a little nippy out this morning. I've been sipping on my muscadine wine the last few nights. :drool
Oh, you didn't know you were having one? Lol

I'm bringing my 5000 over in March :p
It'll be a warm up for your processing shindig of 100 plus Bahaha

I've been needing to clean out my pantry and Terri guilted me into it, because she did her pantry a few weeks ago.

My grandmother always said that the expiration dates on canned goods were basically crap. She said that with canned goods, you knew when they were "bad" because they swelled, or leaked. What do you guys think? I have several canned goods that are well past the expiration date, but the cans look fine.

What do you think, keep or pitch?
Thanks,
Laurie

I agree with your grandmother. I don't pay attention to dates. However, I do pay attention to the way the food looks and smells once I open the can. I just do a smell test if the date is expired. If it smells good, then it's good. Heck, I even buy expired goods at very cheap prices. I would keep them.

Thanks. It's mostly "hurricane" or "sick" food. Canned soups, vegetables, and tuna fish. When I open something expired, I'll just test it out on my husband first...

She didn't let them know she was crazy until after she was approved. Then when they found out they feared for their life and expressed it to her so she had something else to put her mind to!

I want one! I want one! Where did he find it? I have never seen one before. BTW, lovin' the grandma

He bought it from a collector, is all I know.
Yes, I miss her, she died a long time ago, but helped raise me and taught me a lot about life. She was very gentle and nurturing, but very feisty, too. And that was a true story. She never panicked about anything and really protected her own. She was a good Christian woman, who would give anyone whatever she could, if they asked, but took no crap from anybody. When I was very young in grade school, a bully came up to me and for no reason I knew of said to meet her after school, because she was going to beat me up. She was twice my size, but my Grandma told me I had to fight her, because she was a bully and had to be taught a lesson. Grandma said she would be there to make sure it was only one on one, but if I did not fight her, I was in for a good paddling when we got home! She taught me not to ever cause a fight, but not to run from one, no matter the odds. The bully found out that I was there waiting for her 20 minutes before hand(we had to take a bus to be there on time, that only ran every 1/2 hour), was afraid because such a small girl like me showing up ready to fight, must be really strong, so she didn't show up. I don't remember her ever picking on anyone else smaller than she was after that. She had only picked on girls a lot smaller than herself, prior to her threatening me! Yep, my grandma taught me a lot. I sure miss her!!
Well guys. It was bound to happen. Start sending my daughter to play dates and now she's got critters in her hair.

I wouldn't mind that kind if critters in my daughter's hair, either! LOL

Permit?
Ok. This is the last question: are you at least 16 years old? We are very protective of children, but I like to know if I am talking to a child.
I already profiled her as young. I would guess her teens, at the oldest. She sounds about 14, to me!

x 2 This is a lecture: I have found in life that if a person decides to share information about themselves, it is best to be consistent with that information. I am concerned that we are basically an "adult" forum, sometimes our content reflects that. It might be best if ederob checks with her parents to be sure that they find this appropriate for her. As a mother of two boys, I would skin them alive if I found them on an online forum. Just sayin....
I agree with that! I have a couple of grand children near her age, but the way she talks, that's the impression I get.

Lol the porch weapon is for the intruder to have a fighting chance my uncle used to say lol

Hahaha @ saving baby vermin! I always rescue baby babies...send them back into the wilderness when ok ...but I warn them! Best stay at the neighbors, I have no sympathy for grown vermin lol makes hubby crazy
I agree with your hubby, the varmints will remember who saved them and when they grow up and reproduce, they and all their offspring will find you and move in for a free meal! LOL:
