"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

please have them talk to my girls!

I was getting a dozen a day most days and they stacked up too quickly. I gave all my eggs away thinking that I would have more the next day for my house...boy was I wrong! I put the broody and new chicks out there, changed the feed to unmedicated chick feed, culled the last batch of meat chicks, then there was the cold snap and shorter days. I thought I had stopped them for winter with all the change. They laid them on the enclosed shelf under my grill on the porch but at least they started again. I think it is warmer there.

I would like to say this and I hope that she doesn't get mad at me for telling you all this but.............

LemonMeringue sent me some of her homemade soap to use. I have VERY sensitive skin and have severe allergies with scents and perfumes and foods that can land me in the ER at any given time. The only soap/lotions/laundry detergent that I use are those that have no scents or perfumes.

Well, today makes 3 weeks that I used her homemade soap and I LOVE IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is perfect for me. For those of us who have sensitive skin and are allergic to scents and perfumes understand how important it is not to have that kinda stuff in things that we use directly on our skin. Everything about her soap was perfect.

I rated her product the same that I would rate any other product in the store. I will share it with you and again, I hope that she does not get upset with me sharing this with you but it is ALL GOOD !!!!!!!! :bow

My Initial Review (Categories were rated from 1 - 5, with 1 being the LOWEST and 5 being the HIGHEST SCORE)

1 - Poor, 2 - Fair, 3-Good, 4, Very Good - 5. Excellent

Initial Presentation
I LOVED the packaging. The soap was wrapped in a VERY elegant way. The beautiful ribbon made me feel that this soap was from an upscale RITZY high end quality boutique and made with lots of love. The "Southern Luxury Soap" card was beautiful with the perfect size lettering and font and graphics. Looked very professional. I could tell that she put a lot of time and patience in preparing this product for her customers. I rated 5 stars for this category

Visual Appeal
The soap looked great. Very smooth and clean look. Smooth surface. I rated 5 stars for this category.

Color
The color was soothing. The color was that of a "natural/organic" look. (if that makes any sense) It reminded me of an oatmeal bath/soak. It put me in the mind of having candles in my bathroom and my bath tube being filled with water and me bathing with this soap. I rated 5 stars for this category

Shape/Size
The shape was great and the size was huge. This bar of soap was WAY bigger than the bars of soap that are sold in the stores. I rated 5 stars for this category.

Lather
I was excited to get my towel to begin taking my shower. I grabbed the soap and immediately rubbed it in my wet towel to see how quickly it would lather up. I was very impressed and surprised to see how quickly the soap made a rich lather. This soap made more lather than my usual IVORY soap. The lather felt very creamy. The rich and creamy lather made me feel like I was going to get a terrific cleaning. I lathered the towel one time and cleaned my entire body without having to "re-lather" again. After 1 lather, I placed my "still lathered" towel on the towel rack and rinsed off and lathered again with the same towel that still had lather one it. I rated 5 stars for this category.

Scent
For someone like me who cannot stand the smell of certain scents and perfumes, I was VERY happy to NOT smell any scents. Any scents on my body means that I will immediately get sick with a migraine headache or have a sinus problem along with skin irritations, to include breaking out with hives which would force me to use my Epi-pen for my medical emergency. For those of us who have sensitive skin and smelling issues, appreciate a good soap that does not smell and make us sick. This is a great selling feature for her sensitive skin users. I rated 5 stars for this category.

Final Rinse and Feel
The soap rinsed very well off of my entire body. It left my body having a very smooth and silky feeling. I rated 5 stars for this category.

OVERALL RATING:

One thing that I noticed about this soap was that the dry, hard skin on my feet went away after showering with this soap for 3 weeks. I inherited dry skin on the heel of my foot courtesy of my grandmother which requires soaking often. I noticed that this VERY dry and sometimes cracked skin was GONE!!!!!!!!! I can only contribute this to the home made soap. :D

The reason for letting you all know about her soap so that if anyone is thinking about buying homemade soap, I would have to say that you all should buy her soap first before buying from online or in the stores. I think that you all will be 100% satisfied with the products that she has to sell.

I am a firm believer in supporting our local people 1st when buying products that I/we can use that the person may grow, make, etc before making commercial stores rich. Let's support "US" (locals) before we support "THEM" (commercial). Many of you know how vocal I am about things and I won't bite my tongue about my opinions and I would NEVER endorse ANYTHING that I didn't believe in, so this is a true WINNER in my book.

Now I don't have to use the only 2 hours that I had available (2:00 AM - 4:00 AM) to make soap, because I can buy it from LemonMeringue.

LemonMeringue, I will PM you my next order for a couple more bars of your homemade soap.

Good job LemonMeringue. :thumbsup

No smell that is really no smell? And it doesn't leave you dried out? I'm in! The only way she can get mad at you is for having too many orders to fill.
