Bugs!

Ants..... So small, so deadly. I wonder if they ran out of food?. My dad had scorpions for a little while. He to the food away from the bugs that the scorpions ate. No food, no scorpions. I hope they stay away for you. And I hope I never see one.

Most things we find a way to either manage or live with but every now and then we get something that just makes you want to flip off the great state of Texas for giving it to us. Those of us listed as Vernon, Lake Charles, or myself are most likely to get something from TX first then you can track it across the state to those lovely people in BR. If it gets to them you pretty much know they are here to stay in the state. I hope those crazy ants run for FL and leave us alone this year. I don't think we have scorpions, I don't have them here, but you'll have to ask to see if anyone else in the state has them. Our eco system in this state varies so much that just about anything can find a food source. The only thing that you can count on is blazing hot and humid summers and rain anytime you want to repair something outside.

Every blue moon ron finds a scorpin in a pallett of brick. But thats shipped from mexico.Pam

My husband killed one on my In-laws porch one time a year or two ago, but I didn't see it. I'll be happy to live all my days without seeing a scorpion - not including the ones at the pet store sometimes.

Yes, me too. When he has found them they were dead. Thank goodness he's the type that picks up snakes to get them out the yard etc. I just think kill them along with bats. He's the relocater b/c they eat mosquitoes etc.Pam

Bugs, snakes, danger?! Talking my language! We have scorpions...water scorpions but its worse than it sounds. Around here, they call them "toe-biters". I have found nothing but ONE of my chickens lol) that will attempt to kill/eat/or even not run from a live one. Not too common to see alive. But want messed up creatures that hurt? This is your guy lol
They are found mist often in water but breathe Air AND FLY. :ep
They bite And sting and most often the toes because a wiggly toe in the muddy lake/bayou bottom looks like a grub or struggling fish, so they grab and bite or sting their "prey" - a TOE! Even my super hero hubby will exit the pool PRONTO if I even hint at a joke that I saw one shoot by (fast in the water on the move lol) while we were swimming! They can get like 3 or 4 inches... I have a pic I think, Let me look (almost 4000 pics in my phone and I don't file anything lol)

I don't know what this one is. The coloring was so strikingly bright I didn't think it was a bug. But it is.
