"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Exactly....  I have my lil chicken ways now, and to have to do extra care... it is just something I am just not ready to tackle just yet!  Want to, but won't.  I don't even know who has any of these up here actually if I DID want to get started with them....  but I want to hold them SSSOOOOOOOOOO BAD!!! Looks like the sweetest fuzzy cuddle birdies!!

I don't know enough about them to know they need extra care. Hubby thinks they look neat. With 3 dogs,a cat, and a small flock, No thanks to extra care.
Add your own Masonry company. Building a studio for pottery our retirement plan for extra income and traveling. I think our plate is full! Pam

Well, there goes that idea. I was thinking AT&T because of the prices. I have Virgin Mobile because I used to travel a lot for work and it could go with me. I was thinking about cable for a while but they can't even keep my cable on here. Any slight breeze and it can go out for hours not to mention the heat in the summer makes it go out. Also, my cable company won't give a price without having to know all the account information. Then they want to set it up to check the price and if I don't want to pay their price they "can cancel it right away". Seems a little fishy to me.

Quote: that is what Flower said, she briefed me on them because this fall I was going to winter her frizzle with another hen to keep her company.

Flower lives in the high cold snow counrty. She assured me I would do fine. She comes down every month. Unfortunately a predictor got her before her next trip down to Phoenix. I'm still in Chicken 101. There are a number of chickens I would like. I wanted to start with Silkies. Changed my mind as I started to learn, chose RIR, Buff Orpington's and EE's to start.

Frizzles and Silkies should be in the moderate category with feed store chicks in the beginners and show quality in the advanced. You'll get there just give it time.

Me too on the wanting to know what your paying!!! I decided I'm going to tell them I don't have a land line or cell. That turns me off too. My cable was like that till they updated the lines. They will be doing yours too!! My friends in pearl river have satelite and are happy with it. We have 3 computers plus my phone when every one is home an online at the sametime its slow and I frequently have to reconnect the wireless network. Pam

I hope they update the lines. The road I live on is a dead end with my side being closest to town. They just got city water and sewer to the front part of the road in October while I have had it for years. I think we get forgotten out here sometimes. What threw me off of satellite was those people that have it for TV and say that it cuts out when it rains. I live in the area that the storms start and they get bad about 20 miles east of here. My cable company has a disconnected number for me that I used to have from them. They called too much with offers for new customers only.

I've heard that about the satellite too but I think you can get somekind of cover for it now. I'm not positive I'll ask them. The new thing I get is them wanting to bundle TV,land line, which is internet phone, and internet at a good price for all but price fixed for two years.

The other problem I could see is after katrina I had my landline back up in 3 weeks electric was 5 months cable 6 so lots to figure out.

I'm never not incubating! I have about 20 chicks of varying ages and some eggs in lockdown right now to hatch tomorrow. I set eggs either close enough together (1 days difference) or far enough apart to give my hatcher a quick disinfecting between hatch dates. What are you incubating? Right now most of my eggs are mixes with some purebred polish.
I've got 19 total two are a friends and i have no idea what they are, and 17 are a Barred Rock Roo, and White Leghorn hen cross.
