"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

I've got 19 total two are a friends and i have no idea what they are, and 17 are a Barred Rock Roo, and White Leghorn hen cross.

Mixed breeds an be fun to hatch because you are not quite as sure what to expect or what they will look like - at least for me. I am no geneticist. I understand how blue.black, ans splash works thanks to handy charts and how frizzles should be bred but when it comes to the genetic cube thingy for predicting traits I never got that.

Me too on the wanting to know what your paying!!! I decided I'm going to tell them I don't have a land line or cell. That turns me off too. My cable was like that till they updated the lines. They will be doing yours too!! My friends in pearl river have satelite and are happy with it. We have 3 computers plus my phone when every one is home an online at the sametime its slow and I frequently have to reconnect the wireless network. Pam
Satelite stinks! It's expensive, slower and they limit your downloads. That means no movies (Netflix), etc. It's the only option that I have. I would NEVER use it if I had ANY other choice!!

Absolutely! Satellite is our only option and with HughesNet I swear to the Almighty the service was only good for 1 month - then everything became crap -I cannot download anything any faster then dial-up. Whatever they may claim I KNOW they did something to limit our internet's function as well as bandwidth. The customer service is utter crap. The last time we had a internet problem my hubby was on the phone wiith them for 2 hours before they transferred the call...... to ANOTHER COMPANY.............THAT WANTED US TO PAY $10 A MONTH OR $90 A YEAR TO HELP US WITH ISSUES. That they couldn't tell us if they could fix or give advice without us paying. I think our monthly bill to HughesNet justifies them fixing their problems.

I'll stop my rant now - but I would NEVER suggests HughesNet to anyone. Ever.

I've got Wildblue. I refuse to upgrade, because I keep hoping that I'll have another option soon. They've upgraded a lot in 6 years. My neighbors tell me that with the "new" equipment, their speeds are much faster. I still find it expensive compared to some type of landline option.

HughesNet had "new" equipment when we first signed up. And that first month - A DREAM! Can you guess what happens if you don't cancel after the first month? An automatic 2-year contract that costs $400 dollars to get out of. Now I literally cannot download ANYTHING. Even when I'm still within my 10 gig limit. There are days when it often won't work like last month where I couldn't even get BYC to load. Or anything but FB. Coincidence that the service went south like it did? Yeah right. If I had the service we got in that first month, I'd be happy. As it is HughesNet is darn near a con.

Thank everyone for your input. I guess charter it is! Pam

I've heard that about the satellite too but I think you can get somekind of cover for it now. I'm not positive I'll ask them. The new thing I get is them wanting to bundle TV,land line, which is internet phone, and internet at a good price for all but price fixed for two years.

The other problem I could see is after katrina I had my landline back up in 3 weeks electric was 5 months cable 6 so lots to figure out.
Where I am, we ony have ONE OPTION for internet.... and there is a page limit every 24 hours.... 500 pages and your done! I hate it.... luckily we got Direct TV so at least that is more normal than what we used to be limited to having. I always figured SATELLITE service meant available to anyone... but ya got to have the right wiring getting to your home before you can have it... so until then we are stuck...
