"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Are you serious?????? What moonshine have you been drinking? (really wanted to reference something else but I may get a thrashing by the mods if I say that) :lau The only aiming I want to do is aim for the bed after dealing with my few little critters. :lau LOL :lau This pic never gets old. :lau
I think it's a crack pipe that you might be referring to...:lau No moonshine for me, but a nice glass of wine or cup of tea at night...:gig I STILL think you should "aim high"....LOL...
LOL LOL LOL :lau :lau :lau :lau

Thanks guys, I *do* feel a na na boo boo towards the predator. Heh. But karmas swift. I'm missing another one. No scare, all are hanging out under the figs bit count wise, another's gone. Crap!
Going on a hunt around the area quick but then off to work. Birds are getting locked up early today.
We lost the CX girl. :( sux.
I know we were gonna eat them but still, didn't want it to go down like that.

I wonder if yesterday's attack was a success . And this morning was an attack in progress when you herd the honk was when whatever took it. It heard you and your dog and took off before it could finish the little guy off. Just trying to get you look at all the possibilities might be more than one thing stalking your broilers. I hope you get all the predators unable to get at your birds! One thing that has helped us is shock wire along the fence that runs next to the woods! Pam

Sounds about right... cause once they have identified a food source, they are gonna keep trying til they get fed. Mice and rats and other things aren't abundant in this weather... so BEWARE! They are gonna be back. Probably why when it dropped that CX, just went back and grabbed another. But i DO HOPE it is found... breaks our hearts cause they turn out to be our babies....

And YES! She said the state regulates what all she can feed them and growth hormone filled feed is what she feeds them... CX Cross and they are slaughtered at 4-5 weeks.... growth hormone has been tested and found to cause cancer in mice, rats, rabbits, and monkeys... BUT until the government sees that it has been proven to cause cancer in humans it is still cleared for human consumption. The all mighty dollar says it all....

WOW! Amazing. I'm speechless. :duc  I hope all of us chicken owners are not purchasing chicken from the stores. :sick I'll stick to my roosters in my gumbos, stews, chicken salad and everything else chicken.

That's one reason I supply my own meat (chicken, rabbit, lamb, turkey and rabbits). Now if I could get an above ground pool for Tilapia, then I would be set. :/

I'll ask hubby tonight. He was here. Today I didn't see anything but the buzzards and small hawks. But its rainy out.

We have to find a solution soon :/ this is not their buffet.
Did it look like ether one of these?

Both prefer fish, more so with the Osprey, they have 5' {62"-66"} wing span. Do not know what weight they can carry. I would like to know what it was. Golden Eagles are not common in LA, would have to be passing thru or didn't read the book.

Oops! I'm wrong, there are Bald headed Eagles and Golden eagles in Louisiana. A nesting pair between Lafayette and Baton Rouge off of I-10

These are a few fb pages and websites that I have come across lately in my search for some good quality standard Cornish. There is good info scattered about through those pages. Lots of good reading. Found out there is a poultry show in Alexandria in March. And I found a couple of fb pages that are devoted to the Cornish breed. BOY was I DROOLING!!!! Oh my goodness! some of those birds are just so, so, so, so gorgeous!!!!
