Thanks guys, I *do* feel a na na boo boo towards the predator. Heh. But karmas swift. I'm missing another one. No scare, all are hanging out under the figs bit count wise, another's gone. Crap!
Going on a hunt around the area quick but then off to work. Birds are getting locked up early today.
We lost the CX girl.sux.
I know we were gonna eat them but still, didn't want it to go down like that.
Sounds about right... cause once they have identified a food source, they are gonna keep trying til they get fed. Mice and rats and other things aren't abundant in this weather... so BEWARE! They are gonna be back. Probably why when it dropped that CX, just went back and grabbed another. But i DO HOPE it is found... breaks our hearts cause they turn out to be our babies....
And YES! She said the state regulates what all she can feed them and growth hormone filled feed is what she feeds them... CX Cross and they are slaughtered at 4-5 weeks.... growth hormone has been tested and found to cause cancer in mice, rats, rabbits, and monkeys... BUT until the government sees that it has been proven to cause cancer in humans it is still cleared for human consumption. The all mighty dollar says it all....
That is a bummer. Sorry to hear that another one is missing Lock those babies up and guard them like I guard my wine bottle. Oops, did I say that out loud?
How many are you down too?
Did it look like ether one of these?![]()

Both prefer fish, more so with the Osprey, they have 5' {62"-66"} wing span. Do not know what weight they can carry. I would like to know what it was. Golden Eagles are not common in LA, would have to be passing thru or didn't read the book.
Oops! I'm wrong, there are Bald headed Eagles and Golden eagles in Louisiana. A nesting pair between Lafayette and Baton Rouge off of I-10a immature Bold Eagle![]()
I agree. I'm in Frierson. Maybe we need a good ram rod person in our area to head up events like this![]()
Yea!!! I'm so glad you volunteered.![]()
