Yes I'm thin, too thin...don't be jealous its a curse not a blessing. The fight to keep weight on has been a downhill one for me for many years now. Just these last few months I've leveled out and been able to hold on to some. It's nice, slow progress but progress nonetheless!

Oh, and Angel.... i officially am jealous.....  your seriously that thin????  You should come over... I have enough fat to make HUGE donation!!!!!!!

I love you enough to share.... i promise.....  or we could just switch bods????  Im game... anytime any day!!!  Ill even supply the pup-tents in my closet to dress yourself with!!!

Can someone please find me a "frozen man picture"...........except it needs to be a girl with chickens and spring weeds and flowers all around her!!!!!!  Hahahaha!!!!!    I am one tired girl!!!  And now I have to catch up on pages of posts so I know whats up

One of my old roosters babies just decided to crow today! Sounds just like his dad did, I love that crow. I was thinking I would have to give him his own yard and girls since my girls pecked him pretty bad when he was a month old. I had to bring him in then to heal and his rose comb is just now growing back from it. This new rooster seems to like him a lot though and won't let a hen peck him. The "mean" rooster I have now had his wing over the small one and was teaching him how to crow, it was so cute!

That is SO sweet! A new meaning for "wing man"

Where do I start on trying to catch up....?

Just to much. I have been helping a BYC member. She really only needed help for the first week after her operation on her shoulder. We did a lot of sight seeing. When you live someplace you never do that kind of thing. She work on one of the reservations as a traveling nurse (now retired). It is a little startling to listen to her unapologetic frankness of viewpoints, usually only reserved for any group to speak of themselves. It was refreshing.

We drove to Bullhead City/Laughlin (4 hour drive) to check out her camper at some relatives. My pick up broke down. Stuck in Laughlin for 3 days. :rolleyes Laughlin is a town built in NV for gambling. It is a town of casinos. It was terrible...... I just couldn't put my hard earned money (back) in to the machines. I started with $40.00, went to $90.xx, then when I was down to $81.48, I just had to stop. The next day just as bad.... $20.00 to $49.xx to $41.05 I had to stop. The 3 rd day I couldn't give the money back, so I couldn't play. It really is boring if you can't gamble and you have nothing to do. Wi-fi was expensive at the hotel you are at, and no car.

I was worried about Flowers chickens. She was well over 35 years having chickens, she wasn't worried. Deference between an old egg and a new egg. I brought Sylvia up to mate with Angle. So she would not be alone I brought up Voney.
NOTE TO SELF: Be prepared to open windows on 3-1/2 hour dive with chickens in back set.

On the way back we detoured to Oatman, on old Rout 66, once was a gold mining town. They are famous ex for their donkeys.

AWWWW!!!!!! You just don't even know how much I love frogs, toads and lizards! I think they are adorable and I take pictures of them as often as possible. So thanks for those cuties

My mystery hen is back and brought a friend today. She only likes one nest box and it happens to be one that my hens won't lay in. I have her schedule to within two hours so I am going to try to catch her and make sure she is ok. All my layers and my renters layers now are brown layers or so young they are still in the brooder. I collected one egg from each of my hens at noon and when I went to check on everyone and the water at 1:30 I had a blue (mystery layer) and white (first time) egg in the nest box that my mystery layer uses. I have no clue where these chickens are coming from but they have to go threw woods or come down the street and hop over either a 6' or 8' chain link fence (depending on side they come in) to get to the coop and nesting box area. None of my neighbors are reporting missing eggs or eggs of those colors either.

This is such a cool mystery! Doesn't it make you wish you had one of those tiny pet cameras that a cat or dog could wear around the neck??? It records for hours and then you can see where they go and what they see. Now that would be a cool chicken video!

I have a nice Bantam Roo with one eye. We named him Willie (1 eyed Willie)

Well he looks like a handsome fella even with only one eye. What kind is he?

AWWWW!!!!!!  You just don't even know how much I love frogs, toads and lizards!  I think they are adorable and I take pictures of them as often as possible.  So thanks for those cuties

Lost some chicks this morning they're just gone
No way to escape, indoors. I think somethin came thru an attached shed. Sucks. There are a few left that were so scared. I feel horrible.
I searched for any signs, looked for entry points and cleaned, searched for a lid to brooder came back and found my EE hen snuck in and snuggled up with babies. i didn't think EEs went broody, maybe she's laying an egg and showing the biddies some love? She's making all sorts of weird noises and trying to cuddle. weird because she's Not like that

I'm so sorry about your loss. Maybe you should keep looking for what got them, predators usually return. Love love love your new broody. Lucky little chicks.
