"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

I don't know about this one but I was thinking along the lines of bacon, hash brown, cottage cheese, cheddar, cream. Something like that. I'm hungry right now.

Good thing I am having a late lunch!

That sounds good! Like a good quiche, minus the crust and add hash browns.

It's hash browns cooked cheese, onion bell pepper, celery. Sweat the veg. Mix all together and bake you could add whatever you like. Bacon, sausage, etc.
The other thing is scalloped potatoes. I have ate at a Bahama breese they made what they called stompies. Take mashed potatoes leftovers and corn peas onion etc whatever you like. Brown onion use frozen veg. Or cooked fresh. Mix into potatoes. Add parm. Cheese and egg. You want to flatten into a pancake well thicker but you get the idea. After you have the stompies all together saucte in nonstick or cast iron pan.

This is what they are eating out of.

My bets the other two.next time you feed them or give out treats stay and watch what happens could be there isn't enough room for them all to eat at the same time. So the head ones hurt them to eat first. If you observe a while you will see the problem.

Thanks for all the hugs and warm wishes. Amanda and I went to Angel's on Sunday. Amanda wanted to hold the baby bunnies and wasn't disappointed. It was great to see you and your red hair!! Everything is looking so good. You guys have been working hard.
Kuntrygirl, I mailed you two more full envelopes. So much fun.
I've been helping clean out my friend's house. It's a lot of work, but I enjoy helping.
Cracked, are you finished with your classes. How is Lucy?
Pam, you were such a big help all the way through. Thanks.
Welcome to new people. This is a warm, funny, CRAZY bunch, but you'll be better for knowing everyone. A really good bunch of strong women. Occasionally a guy will pop on, but in the last year or so they don't stay long. I just don't know why bec we get pretty excited when a guy comes on.
Celie sent me some great CD's of her preacher that I'm enjoying.
I really really need to get into the chicken yard and finish summerizing. Got a winter's worth of deep packed bunny hay out of the bunny hutch and put it around my plants.
Pam, you asked if my blackberries are invasive. I now have an answer: YES!! Lol
Primrose has been looking like she is molting, but I didn't know they molt this time of year. She has been laying thin shelled eggs. I've been giving her plain yogurt at night and cooked eggs with shell. Also, they all get free choice oyster shell but I never see them eat it. Now I am getting thin shells sometimes from a couple others. The Amercaunas have shells so hard it is hard to break them. What else can I do?? Are thin shells more common this time of year??

I've been waiting for the yogurt subject to come up we've all been giving incorrect advice about yogurt. Remenber I told you we went to a lecture by the chicken wisperer. Well come to find out chickens can't digest dairy all dairy includeing yogurt! It will give them the runs! I would do like jennifer wash and dry egg shells pulverise in blender then mix in food. I've had birds molt this time of year. Our animals know when we are emotional she might just be streesed because you have been. Good to hear ceclie has been in touch with you I was starting to worry about her again so thanks for letting us know. Pam

Thanks, Pam. It did seem to give Primrose the runs. I'll go with the pulverized shells. They all get ACV everyday in their layer pellets. Celie and I have been communicating some back and forth. When I gathered eggs tonight another one was broken on the nest, yuk. Thin shell.
