"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

I read that cantaloupe seeds are a natural wormer for chickens. I read it in a chicken magazine so I think the source is reliable. So don't be too mad they were worming themselves..

Well i wish they had waited for there to actually BE cantaloupes for them to eat. Little hood rats. lol

Awww :( sorry to hear.
Ten years! Great chicken mommy you are! She had a great life I bet :)
I am sad to say I lost Myrtle - my oldest hen. She was a breeder quality Cuckoo Marans & 10 years old. I found her laying quietly in the corner of the coop. She hasn't laid in a long time but enjoyed her retirement and was happy right up to the end.

Sorry you lost Myrtle, I haven't lost a long time favorite chicken, but I have lost a one of a kind member of the family, our Shi Tzu we had for several years who also saved my wife and youngest son from dying when our house burned at 3:AM September 2010, when he smelled the smoke or saw the flames In the den, he ran to the hall beside my wife's door barking and jumping against the door so we credit Mr Meagie for saving everyone, he was out marking his territory and got hit by a car, he was gone in an instant. Just a devastating feeling.

GUESS WHAT??!!! CUTEST CHICKEN BUTT EVER!!! Well, maybe not the cutest. But still really darn cute!

I messed up on the label, it is w2d3 not w1d3. It has been interesting.

My transition fly wheel thing burned out. It had 18 years of ware on it. My clutch cylinder had a leak, so no clutch. I made it her from Odessa, with 1 stop for fuel. When I came off the road, just blocks from Neal's, I burned out my transmission . This is bad, but actually good. You see it was we reign out, I may have had a couple hindered or a few days to go before that would have gone, at best a few weeks, no way of knowing. Most of a job is labor, it would have coast as much to fix the transmission as the clutch, but having them both done, it is about 90% less! because they do not have to pull the whole thing out to replace the clutch cylinder, saving labor... A lot. Have to look on the bright side. Old Truck.......... "Send donations To P.O. BOX - - - - " :lau

Survivors are drying off under warmth probably won't make it another hour. :(

I feel like they should be cleaned. To my knowledge you shouldnt get them wet tho. How do I get the "dead" off them? I gently wiped beaks off (soooooo gross) but don't want to make the situation worse :( never had issue like this.

O M G how awful. Where did you order them from? Who was the carrier that they used? It might have been the shipping service. Some of those people have personal problems. I can picture it. I used to work in shipping, I have meet some really demented people working at jobs they shouldn't be near.

Go after the shipper also. They had the chicks, they are probably responsible. :rant

I'm dead serious.... The shipper!
