I just went home for lunch & Jim told me he found piles of feathers this morning -- something got 2 of my guineas. Now all I have left is 2 males. They've been roosting high on the top of the peacock "roof" so it was something that climbed up there. I will be setting my trap tonight...

I'm so sorry Terri. Has to be raccoon or opossum I hope and not a panther or bobcat. I hope you can find some hens. This has been a hard year for losses. It's also had a lot of not your everyday predators

I planted the mimosa tree this morning. That is the LAST dirt digging, dirt hauling job I am doing until cool weather. I planted some iron plants around it. There are more than it appears bec I trimmed them.

Well another long day. Over the last few days I have done Peach Pie filling, Lemon Cardamom Peach Jam, Peach Jelly, Peach & Habanero Pepper Jelly, Honey & Habanero Peach BBQ sauce, Sugar Free Blueberry Jam (for the father in law), Set up some cucumbers to ferment, 3 batches of banana bread, Peach Rum Sauce.............I feel like I am forgetting something. I am so glad that the next couple of days should be a bit slower in the canning dept!!! I feel like this >>>>>

So far everyone has gone GAGA over every different batch. Except for the sugar free stuff.



I took a short break one time today and saw how the little babies are using their ladder and going back and forth on the perches. So stinking cute!!!


I wonder what kind of trouble we can all get into this weekend??!

I feel like going to a flea market. Only problem is that I need to sell thing, not buy. We have some brand new candy machines that we have had in storage for a few years and I want my space back! Hopefully we will find someone that wants to buy them.
