Your lucky to have them. We have a few in covinton that are owned by families for generations. They buy from the hatchires and sell americunas spelled with an I and they're Easter eggers. I think Terri La chicks lives near them and likes the too. Pam

Here are pics of the 2 one week old chicks I hatched. Some are the BCMarens xed with the legbar Rooster.

The last pic is one of the 6 month old legbar poulet she hasn't started laying yet but should any day.The egg color doesn't show true in pics it is darker.

Anyone have any ideas on how I can get ants out of my veggie garden? I think they have made their home in the soil. It is COVERED with them. I don't want to use any poisons, and I'm unsure of what to do.

Woohoo. Keep it up. As an ex smoker of 20 years, I gave it up 3 yrs ago. My health got sooooo much better. No more colds. Not easy, but there are things to help if you need it. Good luck. You chickens will be Olive eggers, right? Brown eggs x Americauna. Get a couple of leghorns and cross to get super blue egg layers. My 2 are Crested Cream Legbar over white leghorns. Light blue not green. Egg laying machines too. They'll be ready to lay in about one month. Already starting to red up on the combs. In fact 5 of 7 are redding up. Yea. Eggs again.

Hey Sweetie, glad to hear from you. I am going to be getting some Basque eggs on the first part of Nov. Loving it. I downsized to have only 10 chickens but more is coming. Swedish Flower Hens on day 20 in 'bator. Excited.
