Hey everyone! I'm new to the forum and live in heflin, la - between shreveport and monroe! Does anyone have any leads on a tom turkey? I have 2 hens (we named one jerry lee that we raised from a chick - oops - he laid an egg lol) so now I need a tom to have some babies in the spring!

Two hens with pox are looking bad. One has got wet pox, too. Going to spend my afternoon doing some heavy cleaning and medicating.

Oh! By the way, I never mentioned that my egg tray went for $10 at the silent auction. And I didn't buy it back! Nothing went for even close to value, though. It's just impossible to make money from 20-somethings. Next year I'm going really focus on bringing other folks in.

Thanks Pam! I did find a post earlier from her, tied in with casportpony. I've picked up some saline and hope to work on the worst two tonight. I didn't mean to wait til dark, but maybe that will help me.

We have 25 birds all together and we just started our flock last year. We have 2 lavender guineas, 2 turkeys, 4 silkie crosses, 3 road island reds, 2 dominiques, 1 buff orpington, 2 Cobb meat birds, and 9 mystery babies-3 are little red girls, 3 are Patridge silkies, 2 are black cochin frizzles, and 1 is a buff orpington - the chicks are all guesses since they were a hatch day mystery pack. We also have a bunch of different animals as well to include 1 horse, 3 mini donkeys, 4 dogs, 2 cats, and 2 goldfish. We just bought our little farm in April and we just love it here!

Yea Heflin!!!! I'm out of Haughton on the other side of Minden.

I don't do turkeys just White Plymouth Rocks.

Had to save Pearl ( my cal. white) today, she flew up to get a fly stuck on a fly trap. and the fly strip was stuck on her. It took time and a lot of cleaning but she is fine now. I think I will just stick to the vanilla car air freshener for now on.

Wow you've been busy. I have 26 all layers. I have two rare breeds biefeleders and crested cream legbars. Two Greman Shepard dogs and a Pom.

That happened to someone last year. I had a hen get into a sticky rat trap. Good thing it was hot had to give her a bath to get it all out. Yes we don't use them anymore either.
