"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

I don't give up that easy...it looks bad compared to last night, ill add the probiotic to his water..He is really a sweet bird...ill let you know how it goes, crossing my fingers...I never had the pox as a child, can I catch it from him?

I don't think so foul pox is different than chicken pox but you should google it to make sure. Campingshaws posted a link to how she cured hers. Hers had wet and dry can turn to wet pox which is harder to cure so I would treat him aggressively now so it doesn't turn to wet. Pam

No hurry, I am just happy you are well pleased with Martha and gave a good home to the teens. Henrietta finally laid a brown egg for me not as big as Martha did for you so now I have olive and brown waiting for my white egg layers now . HAPPY THANKSGIVING

I bought one from ebay, the others came from different breeders. I am working on a 7 generation lavender australorp They are due to hatch tonight, three are piping as I am typing...Ill let you know how they do when I start breeding ill pass some your way. If you want, I'm not that stingy. But I am picky about what I breed into my flock. I've worked too hard to build what I have to bring one in to undermine all the hard selective breeding I have done

Do the lavender lay as good as the black ones? Pam

Wow, Jennie, you really have it going on. So many different kinds. Maybe we can do a swap on eggs in the spring. I'll be have the Blosl Silver gene White Rocks. And also I have XW regular white rocks. Both great breeders. I'd be interested in your Lavender Australorps. We'll talk.

I would consider that more than a fare trade, We can talk.

Happy Thanksgiving

What could be better news than more chickens?

I will be happy when we get some black bantam cochins in hand. Working out details on getting a young pair from a breeder here in Louisiana. These will be (hopefully) the addition that my daughter needs for her RED project. We have had a very nice day so far! I hope that LSU doesn't ruin that, haha! Hope you all had a good one.

Good thing I don't live anywhere near @JennieRD who is hatching SO many chicks! I am sure that I could sneak a few home if I did, lol.

Those are nice eggs, I dont believe you will make it past New years, lol, you are probably all ready trying to figure a way to crawfish on not hatching till after the holidays, you can come by and help me get lined out if you get too restless, lol
