Love it!!
So cool!
Anyone going to the poultry swap Denham Springs tomorrow?
Those are hilarious!!!!

I just had my white Sussex and black maran hatch 1 1/2 eggs. I say half BC she squashed the one after it pipped externally and is really due tomorrow. I had to salve it to stop bleeding and such but its still breathing and chirping and the first one is under the light recooping. The first 1/2 white Sussex and bm.![]()

Two of my mixed-breed babies. Both are half speckled sussex. The roo is half French black copper marans, and the hen is from one of the white layers that live with TD. I'm hoping she lays well, like her mama.
I did a count of birds with hackle or saddle feathers last night and came up with 8 of 22. Way better than when I was going by combs and had 15 of 22 looking like roos.
Right now we are bringing in a few green beans and cucumbers. And plenty of hot peppers. They are loving this weather. So I've made some pickles etc.
from the first 3 bins and then he brought us those last 2. Made 2 different things with them today, plus made candied ginger so I could make Peach and ginger Jam. I'm going to have to ban my kids from the kitchen!! I asked my youngest if she wanted to taste the Apple Kissed Fig Jam. Next time I turned around she had finished it!!!! Only half a small jar (1/2 cup) that I didn't can, but still!!! Haha! She said, "Well, it's good!"
Great news!!! Happy for you!
