"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

I have three cockerels to give away. Anyone have a need for a buff orpington, light brahma or production red cockerel? I don't feel like putting thembin the freezer right now myself but am willing to give them away to someone who is. I have a roo who is older than them and not enough hens to take care of them too. I live around Lafayette area so unless someone is willing to travel for them I prefer to keep potential takers in this area. Thanks everyone!

I had a chick hatch this morning that looks like a bit of the yoke is not absorbed and or it may be a prolapsed navel.
I've left it in the bator all day it's hard to tell if it's shrunk much. I'm thinking it may fix itself with a little time. I know if I put it with the other chicks they'll pick at it.
I'm planning to leave it in the bator overnight. Anyone have experience with this? Does it look like it might be ok.

^ This chick is still alive. Seems to be doing ok. It went home with my Sister today. So glad to have all her chicks gone. Takes the responsibility of my shoulders. Started with 112 eggs took out 25 at day 10, quitters and clears. There was 77 chicks total out of 87 eggs that made it past day 10.
Been babysitting chicks all week.

It was a fun hatch and educational also. Had three with air cells on side of egg, one died early in the shell another has fluid in it's abdomen so it might not make it the third I had to euthanize because it's head was deformed(flat on one side) and it's body had a lot of fluid in it. Definitely learned how misplaced air cells affect growth of embryos. Overall it was a good hatch.

Thank you TD, Lemon, and Pam for your input on this chick.

Check out my new laying Legbars. The blue has a deep pigment is a winner. I was going to cull one of these but the egg is so pretty they just made the cut. Pam

Thank you everyone! When I meant cull in this instance I meant sell. The eggs are such a pretty blue in my breeding going forward I breeding for SOP but also egg color. These are the first Legbars I've had that the blue has this dark of pigment. I have had them for two or three years and three different lines. These have the best color or all. Pam
