"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

I still have the hens The roosters were killed by predators 2 weeks ago. I think I'l getting a good Good shepard roo replacement. They are just as nice a line. I like them they are calm and will let you handle them. Pam
Oh, I didn't know you had another attack. Sorry to hear that. I'll bet they're nice looking birds. Sucks you lost the males.

Pam, do you still have the XW rocks? Was wondering how they've done for you.

Inquiring minds want to know...What are XW rocks? And shepards?

All 5 eggs have hatched. Some seem more active and stronger than the others. One is definitely from my barred rock hen. It's the only dark chick. It is also the smallest. Two r from my leghorns. And I think one is from my rir hen and not sure on the last one. Could be light brahma or new hampshire red. All covered by my rir roo. So, placed 8 eggs. One was nonfertile, one was early quitter and one quit halfway. So that would be a 62% hatch rate right?
