Two more born today I have 3 more does left to kid

Blue laced red wyndotte. He is soooo gentle and will even sit with the girls while they lay.
Here's another pic of him.

I want one...or better yet, a pair...or trio...or quad! It is so hard to fight the chicken math once it grabs hold of you. :D

I give my chicks Quaker oats or store brand oatmeal. They love it. These are my first chicks and all seam healthy.  their shells are very strong and can be hard to break.

My little diy project for the day. I got tired of the chicks scratching all of their food out and it would fall into the tray under the brooder. I added a piece of hardware cloth inside of the feeder so they can't do that anymore. They were aggravated at first but then they gave up and moved on. Here's a pic.....

This is such a great idea!! I have learned rather quickly...The cleaner their area is the more they scratch!!

And for my waterer the local guy that helped me suggested a quail waterer because it has a smaller opening. I still can't figure out how one of them managed to poop in it, the opening is maybe a half an inch!
