"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

No doubt! That happens to Turk once, it was just a couple hours as I recall and no harm was done.
This looks to be some really bad stuff coming through. Everyone stay safe!!!

:thumbsup you remmeber correctlly, just FYI anyone incubating i did save a clutch by wrapping my bator in blankets and jackets when we lost power. Only lost two degrees in two hour power outage. Once the eggs are warm under incubation, its easy to damage the embryo by moving the egg or bator around, so you Do Not want to try and transport it. you want to wrap it up and cross ur fingers, if you dont have a nearby backup power supply.

Would anyone be interested in a bunch of used vinyl siding? Maybe for a coop?
It is white and 1000 sq ft or more. Will be available about the end of march (still on the house right now).

Yes! I can use that!

Hope everyone stays safe in this weather!  Good luck to all of you that are hatching eggs.  Seems so exciting!

Hey, everyone! I'm checking in from New Orleans. Currently have eleven chickens (two gents, eight ladies, one guinea) and am looking to get one more so I can hop to an even twelve.
How's everyone doing around here?
Hi welcome. I'm new to all this just started with my flock in October. Got my first 2 eggs this week.
I saw your intro and was also interested in hearing about the "registered therapy chicken" you have. Very Cool do tell.

I need to buy a good thermometer/hygrometer for my incubator because I know the ones that are built in to the incubator are not usually calibrated correctly. Plus it never hurts to have two for good measure. Any suggestions on type and where to buy? Thanks, Mary
I use a glass thermometer and also a digital thermometer/hygrometer which you can purchase at Walmart. Most important thing is to make sure they are calibrated right.

Quote: They are buff laced polish.

Currently I have a legbar & polish egg on day 22 with internal pips but no externals pips. Good thing I am at work cause I would be hovering, waiting anxiously for them to come on out
