Skip from St Tammany

I added some bantam Barnvelder eggs to the benefit auction if you want to check them out. :)
Boy, are there some lovely birds up for auction! Makes me want to take up the rare breed project I was wanting to start last year!

Not a bad time for a practiced keeper to start in conservation! I highly reccomend Mrs Pam as a great Breeder who knows her stuff. You wont go wrong buying from her, shes culled around her breeders to the Max to produce very high quality stock, ive seen em w my own eyes!

Awe, thanks but I am still debating on the breed I will go with.  I think I want a blue variety this time, so I was thinking either Ameraucana or Orpington.   Or both of course.  And maybe a couple of Silkies.  :ya   What breed are your new little chicks?

Are you looking to breed or just keep a few layers?

Thanks Turk! I have seen Pam 's birds, we got them from the same breeders. I was talking about making Welbars, They are an auto sexing breed that lays dark eggs. Then I. Could create auto sexing layers of several colored eggs. :)

Why do I ask where you are from or why will I need to unload some Polish? Answer to first is because you posted you were not from St Tammany and you are going to the New Iberia swap. I live just outside of Lafayette and was just curious as to what parish/town you live in or close to.

Answer to second is because I am hatching all the polish eggs I get from my buff laced polish so I can sell/swap them.

Now that would be interesting! Which breeds would make a Welbar? Welsummer×legbar?
