"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Oh my goodness you are AMAZING!!! Thank you so much! I'm going to spend about a week trying to convince one of our girls to go broody, and if that doesn't work I'll probably borrow a broody from one of our farmer friends. We were probably going to keep one of them, and find homes for the others that hatch. I wish we have a rooster, but our neighbors probably wouldn't appreciate it ☹ So kind of you, though! I guess I'll be in touch this coming week. You are the BEST!

I had asked him abiut his silkies, and another breed he supposedly had. Crawfished around selling hens and then said he doesn’t sell eggs or pulletd only day to week old straight run chicks.. 2 days later he mysteriously had 3 months old pullet available. Wife messages him and then he told her he always sell all life stages of everything . Then could not tell me if his silkie were standard size or bantam..

That wasn't the guy I dealt with. The man I bought birds from on Pride Port Hudson Road was an elderly guy in a trailer with a rabbit setup and a chicken setup. He was funny and kind and the birds I got were very nice. I don't remember any bantams there.

Theres also a high volume breeder who lives between your house and baker off plank around charlton or dyer. Cant remember exactly where . I bought some ducks from him several yrs back

Don't know that one. When I am off quarantine I'll have to run around, see if the old guy is still there on Pride Port Hudson...maybe go hunt down the person in Baker. I generally buy chicks at Zachary feed and raise some from broodies.

There's a feed store on Groom Road in Baker. I think it's called Beasley Feed. I haven't been there.
