These are actually early. Hatch day is actually tomorrow. But yes so far so good

@alwaystj9 , 9/14 hatched.

1, i cracked egg moving nests
1, eaten (i assume) never found egg
3, made it to day 20/21 (fully formed in egg) but I think they may have got pushed to side , eggs were cool to touch so she definitely wasnt sitting on them

I have 8 healthy babies tho! 1 didnt make it


In the grand scheme, moma knows best. There were many days i would question if chicks would hatch, as she would push half of them out from under her..

Your rooster is definitely doing his job! Got 5 easters / blue egg babies, and 3 brown egg babies

She looks very attentive (and very fluffy!). None look like they have any silkie in them, do they? That little stray silkie roo who I found in the driveway isn't allowed too close to the flock by the EE roo but I wondered. I don't think I have ever had a hen hatch out that many, usually just 4-5. My only broody hen hatched out a whopping 2 chicks. Holler if you want more!

Out of the 3 potentials, is a lavender, buff, and creme brown. The other 5 are chipmunk (guaranteed easters)

didnt look to have any silkie in anything.

Would anyone be interested in buying an Omlet Eglu? Rehomed my big girls and won’t have room for it at my new house. Only used it for a year, in great condition, and it has the automatic door installed as well as 2 run extensions. I’ll take pics tomorrow in the light but asking $1000 for it
