Yall can't have chickens in slidell?!?Looking for anyone in Slidell (the city limits) who is interested or trying to petition the city council in changing the ordinance.
35 years is a long time and the reasons iv gotten for it not being re-visited are simply "put up with egg prices"
In city limits is not allowed. I believe we are the only city in about a 100 mile radius that prohibits any ownership. Mandeville even allows for chickens.Yall can't have chickens in slidell?!?
That's crazy, I never knewIn city limits is not allowed. I believe we are the only city in about a 100 mile radius that prohibits any ownership. Mandeville even allows for chickens.
I'm really interested in getting in touch with anyone that can help organize/push for a amendment. They amended for a local high school but private citizens? Sorry, you have no rights.
There are a number of people I am sure with good neighbors who keep them. I just feel 35 years with no interest in change is ridiculous. Every other municipality can write in regulations but for Slidell that seems too complicated for them. That's crazy, I never knew
