No offense taken. I won't go into details, but I've smelled my share of stinky poop!

And not all poops are equal! My chicks have a particularly pungent poop, though. After searching on BYC, I've discovered that some people say that organic feed produces a "better" smelling poop. I was just hoping

that someone could recommend a feed that could help my situation.

I have read on here that some say their poop smelled worse when the used Dumor brands from TSC but I can't honestly say I noticed a difference when I used that brand.

Mais, hello! I just stumbled across this thread and thought I'd jump in. I'm a newbi to this site, I'm in Youngsville, La. I have 6 Leghorn roosters and 1 poor little red hen. They were Easter chicks and the kids got all attached to them so we kept them when it was obvious that they were going to survive. My roosters are starting to get really aggresive and I need to get rid of 5 of them. I'd like to trade them for laying hens. I'm interested in finding out which breeds do well for laying down here.

I have Barred Rocks that have layed through the winter and are not even stopping through this intense heat!! I have a bunch of other breeds but they won't start laying till August so I can't tell you about them. If you look at the top of the page their is a breed section and it will tell you what kind of weather conditions they will handle!!

My Welsummers lay faithfully year round & are beautiful & friendly birds to boot. Blue Andalusians are bred to withstand heat & they also lay well all year long. My Ameracaunas have slowed down -- but everybody likes their blue & green eggs so we have to keep a few of them in our flock!

No special plans for 4th of July here--just enjoying the 3 day weekend!

Any one know any silkie breeders in Louisiana???!! I have searched everywhere! ughhh seems like no one has them! I tried getting shipped eggs from other states but none hatch! Anyways, I am from St. James Parish!
