Hubby would say I have enough darn brooders...lol... I have (3)3x5s (1)2x5 (1)4x8 (2) starter totes inside before they go out to the big brooders,then (3) 3x5 wire pens when they get too big for brooder but still too small for ground.....
Got some new additions to the chicks.Got 2 guineas and 5 Bobwhite from my May Egg swap eggs,4 bantam RIR, and started hatching today 2 BLRW, 2 Lav Orps, and 1 Black Orp so far with many more due.I have some Silkie eggs went in lockdown today,80 button eggs due for lockdown Sunday,and then a dozen Buff Orps for lockdown next week.After that I believe I'm done for the year.Already have one bator turned off.
I lost the silkie and might lose another one.Had a 'stray' dog get into the yard today.Found one of my other Silkie hens hemmed up between the fence and a kennel I had converted into a flight cage.I think she may have a broken leg or pelvis.I'm going to let her rest some and dry before I go pulling on her.I'm so ticked right now.I don't know for definate where this dog came from,but I think it may belong to the new neighbors ,because it jetted off through the woods in that direction.But they are trying to say it doesn't belong to them.I've heard a big dog barking over there at night,but haven't seen it yet. It looked like an athletic Rott or something.This freakin dog took one leap over my back fence.Like a freaking deer....
I don't remember the persons screen name.Farmer something or other.And yes they are over this way.They emailed me THREE times.Twice asking about Silkies,LF Cochins and Polish.Then They asked tday about rumpless Araucana bantams and if I knew anyone with any of those they would give away for free.I told them IF they were lucky enough to find TRUE rumpless Araucana bantams,they wouldn't be cheap.

where at in la u from and do u have any Araucana bantam with no tails or know someone who does and i am in gulfport ms and i don,t really have alot of money u know thanks so hopefully u have some or know someone who has some that would,n mind give me them or some thanks

On the ants.... Got my first actual ant piles of the summer.It had been so hot and dry,they were all underground.Now that the ground is so wet,they are surfacing.But mine are Fire ants...I'll swap ya...lol...
