And you're right, the pics and stories will make you think it's the end of the world with your chickens but it's not so. Thanks for the update.

Thanks for all of your advise & help. They never got really bad, the pictures on the net had the heads completely covered in them. Mine had tiny ones, maybe 2 or 3 on each bird. The worst ones were the size of the end of a q-tip. It didn't really seem to even bother them. They never slowed on eating either... The 9 hens & 1 rooster eat 10lbs every 2-3 days & the 13 roosters eat 7lbs every day & a half. Again, thanks for your advise that was practical and based on your first hand experice

Is it shameful to say that I'm almost glad my coop almost collasped???

The reason being is in trying to figure out how to fix it the problem hubby is going to add extra supports and whatnot and now I'll be able to have 3 complete seperate sections!! 2 will be 21ftx8ft and the big girls will still be 21ftx16ft. And the only thing I have to do to accomplish this once it's fixed is make one gate and put the wire up for the seperation!! I'll be able to have my egg layers in the big coop, my Speckled Sussex in one and my Golden Cuckoo Marans in another!!

Terri, how's your little Winnie girl doing?? I hope she's okay!

Harry, you were right about some of the GCM chicks. They keep looking better & better as they get older!! Just might actually be able to work with a few of these!!
