Lordy what a few minutes leaves to look at.

So cadjien will eat everything but a possum that cant out run him and gracie now holds the title for the absolute most ugly chick ever

Yea, I like alligator as well. I'm getting hungry. I could eat some frog legs right now.

Mais chére you take the frog backs and make a sauce piquante and fry the legs at the same time. poah ça c’est bon mmmm.

What time is dinner? I love that stuff! A good fried frog leg is one that is freshly caught, cleaned, and fried immediately. The legs are still moving as they are put in the frying pan.

My husband and I have been discussing selling all the birds once they're finished treatment. We had considered it before (they did a lot more damage to my garden than the yard eggs are worth), but then the birds got sick and the decision to sell or not had to wait. After all this and the emotional upset, etc, my husband says definitely to sell. He doesn't want my daughter and I calling him crying about birds anymore. I guess I can't blame him. I want to make VERY sure that I will not be passing anything along when I sell them, though. I will be getting a report from the Dept of Ag after they get the blood tests back Monday, and assuming that worms are the only diagnosis, the only thing left if to make sure the worms are gone. So here's a list of questions...

1) Once I dose with the dewormer, how long before they are considered dewormed? Do I need to re-treat after a few weeks? I've read different opinions on this website about this. If YOU were the buyer, what would you be comfortable with in making sure theres no worms?

2) Should I treat the babies? They are approx. 1 month old silkies that are in a raised pen and 2 month old heritage turkeys that are in a run. None of them have gotten "sick". Would the dewormer hurt them at this age if I treated just in case?

3) I'm also dusting with Seven 5%. He said a couple of them had some mites. I know the Ivermectin is also good for the mites. How long for the meds to be effective and do I dust again to make sure there are no mites?

4) Anything else I should consider before selling?

Sorry if I sound stupid with these questions. I always used Wazine for worms and DE to help prevent mites, so I dont have experience with the Ivermectin or Seven.

I would worm them, and reworm in 2 weeks. I would also dust twice just to make sure I got the mites.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't find that DE works at all. Some people swear by it, but I don't find that it has any effect on these Louisiana super bugs!
