"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Well, I just gave him a 1/2 cc of penicillian so we'll see how it works. I'm going to try and get him to eat something maybe cause his crop is totally empty.

is the penicillin regular,24hr or 48 hr? If regular,1/2 cc twice a day for the first coup[le days should help out then 1/2 1x a day for about a week..In the breast, alternating sides each time.Try getting some yogurt for him if he doesn't eat too much feed.Or fresh veggies..It sounds like wet pox.I've had a couple birds come down with it up in the chicken area.

It's Durvet Pencillin Injectable from TSC. It's in a brown bottle with a yellow & red label. My MIL is going to try and get me more syringes at Wal-Mart. If not then I'll go back to TSC tomorrow and get the right kind I need. Thanks

Yea I think so!!

Aw man. I hate to hear that. I know that you have him away from the others.

Yea, he's in my laundry room right now. He won't eat anything, haven't seen him drink either. It's nice and dark in there and I threw a sheet over half the cage to keep most of the wind from the vent from blowing on him. <sigh> What are the chances with this stuff??

ETA: Now one question. Would it be better to keep up with the Pencillian or try to get some Tylan from the Co-Op tomorrow??

Both are good.Tylan is more for the respiratory, and Pen is broad spectrum.Either way I woul do half/half with a B vitamin.Either B12 or Bcomplex.I use Comples because it has more vitamins in it.They need this to help rebuild the immune system and replenish the blood cells that are lost fighting infection.Use a syringe to give him pedialyte by hand if he won't drink for himself.
