Got a trio of grown guineas got to go too. The male and one female is chasing the chickens out of the coops and away from the food.So I'm gonna let them go and just keep the younes growing up with the rest. Glad to hear ur roo is doing good Missi.I may have to come borrow him when he starts breeding.Doesn't look like I ended up with any GCM roos.2 older pullets, and about 4 or so younger pullets.Lost the only GCM roo I had when they started piling on top each other.Lost a couple of my young BLRW.Started wonderin what was going on because they weren't sick, come to find out today,my two daughters weinerdog pups are chasing them down and knawing on them.I fopund another today that was rundown weak and knawed on,lost her, then my oldest daughter starts screaming at one and it has a silkie in it's crasp practically drowning her cause her cause her in a puddle and was working her over.

Then he tried to drag her under my feed trailer. That's when it dawned on me.Cause all but one I found was under there.SO... my lil size 4 foot went up his rear and threw him in with a big chicken. Now they are banned from the back yard and must go potty out front with the rambunctious Dane pups.Who are 89& 95lbs @ 6 mos old....lol...

Good morning everybody! LOVE all the "hot" smileys, boy that sure does sum up our weather! Missi your Sussex are gorgeous!

I got out at sundown yesterday and moved chickens around -- put my two young Ameracauna roos that I'm keeping in the pen w/the main flock, caught & caged the five extra roos for culling today, & moved all the young Welsummers in the grow-out pen.

Stay cool everybody!

at times. Just not enough room for everone, been culling and butchering for going on 4 weeks now
he.gif
not everyday but pretty often still hasn't made much of a dent in my space as they are outgrowing my efforts to de-populate for room if ya know what I mean

, anyway gonna keep plugging away at it and try to deter my broodies from hatching anymore for some time. I just hope

next hatching season when I realy will be wanting them to go broody they will do as good then as they are now, we'll see huh?

Anyway you and all the rest of the La-yers TRY to stay cool , till later on bye
