Good Morning!

By the way I think your idea was great!
I was permitted NWCO by the state last year (nuisance wildlife control operator) I ended up not doing nothing with it other than trapping in my own yard lol. But any way I had to pass a test and do alot of reading to pass that test I have some good online resources on nuisance animals. The most experiance I have is trapping coons. They like to eat the deer corn in my back yard way to much.

If they would let you create a link at the begining of the thread like you or someone else said that would be awesome. Easy for us to find. There is so many noligible people on here. I've learned so much from everyone.

Good thinking

I think that is an excellent idea. We could all benefit from that link. Maybe you can send the link to Whiskey Bay and we can post it on that #800 post and direct people to contact you if they have any questions about trapping and you will be able to help them.

Yea that would be good..
please help me remember, lol

Alot of the cool info I have on nuisance animals are like which animal will eat and how it will eat poultry like this insert for example on coons

RaccoonsRaccoons eat mice, small birds, snakes,
frogs, insects, crawfish, grass, berries,
acorns, corn, melons — the list is
almost endless. Garbage cans and
dumps can be a major source of food
in urban areas. Field crops or gardens
near wooded areas may suffer severe
damage from raccoons. Ripening corn
is frequently eaten and much is wasted
(Conover 1987). They raid nesting
cavities of birds (Lacki et al. 1987).
They will on occasion kill small lambs,
usually by chewing the nose.
Occasionally, raccoons enter poultry
houses and take several birds in one
night. The breast and crop can be torn
and chewed, and the entrails sometimes
are eaten. There may be bits of
flesh near water. Eggs may be
removed from poultry or game bird
nests and eaten away from the nest.
Rearden (1951) found that eggshells
were located within 28 feet (9 m) of the
nest.
The raccoon leaves a distinctive fivetoed
track that resembles a small
human hand print. Tracks are usually
paired, the left hind foot beside the
right forefoot (Murie 1954). Raccoon
and opossum tracks can be difficult to
distinguish in soft sand where toes do
not show.

One of the dog foods I bought before the storm went out of business or something.I used to get a % of f for sporting dog kennel. I dont know if anyone does this type of thing anymore. Or if there is a feedmill near who does dogfood. Also rice.Is there any good hookup for bulk rice discounted?

Been up to my elbows in plum jelly - had it frozen the past 2 months & finally got around to doing jelly & jam today -- now I'm on a roll!!! processing muscadines for jelly & jam tomorrow & then I can put the canning equipment up for this year!

I found out today the plantation next door to us -- Inglewood - has 460 chickens in chicken tractors & doing organic, sustainable farming -- it's a big controversy among the area farmers here - (some of them are relatives of mine & in fact, farm our 10 acres) - they are using wasps & manure from the Alex. Zoo on their farm -- I have to go drop in & visit these people & find out more about this -- it sounds really interesting & maybe they'd have some ideas we can use.... www.inglewoodfarm.com I think that's their website.

I haven't seen the chickens anywhere but they are 3,000 acres so they must be way back in the fields. I'm sure going to find out. They look like New Hampshire Reds or Rhode Isle Reds from the pics..

Hey! just got an invitation in my email to come visit them! I emailed back & asked if they were NPIP or not, so I know what kind of footwear to bring. This will be interesting!

OK off to process the muscadines -- mine didn't make but a handful but I scored 2 gallon ziploc bags from a friend so that'll make a batch!

Orpimom dont' know in your area, sorry, here you might try Petrus Feed & Seed or Bayou Roberts Co-op.
