Sorry but I don't know. Can you feed dog food to chickens? I know my chickens love cat food but I'm not sure about dog food.

I really want to know. The reason that I ask is because their is a feed store in the Lafayette area that mixes their own chicken feed. When I was calling around to find another feed store, I called them and I asked them about their ingredients. They said they put DOG FOOD in the chicken feed. I was like HUH. I know that chickens like cat food but I didn't know that chickens like dog food.

My chickens love EVERYHING!!!! If it hits the ground, they get it.... They LOVE oatmeal cooked and appleauce.

Hello! I'm from Louisiana around St. James or Lutcher area. I was wondering how some of you guys become npip around here? Is it free in Louisiana to get tested and how are the chickens tested? How long does the results take and how do I know if I have pollorum ahead of time? Thanks!

Hi all!! My poor chickens are feeling mightly neglected right now. I've made sure they've had food and water and that's about it.

I really need to get rid of some of these roosters. I thought my neighbor was going to take a couple but I for they had ordered some show birds and ended up with a few roosters in that. Their so beautiful that I hate to cull any and I'm done with processing any so I guess I'll put them on CL's. I need to take the time to seperate them from the 3 that I'm going to keep and the 2 for Twiley & Joe!!

Hope you all have a great night! I'm working tonight but am taking off tomorrow. The wake & funeral is Friday & Saturday!!

Go to http://www.louisianachickens.com/ and right on the front page is the contact information for Dr. Barrington. It's free in Louisiana! I can't off hand remember exactly what they test for. Dependiong on how many is in your flock will determine how long it takes. They cut some feathers off from under their wing and take a blood sample, you know immediatly if it is positive or negative.
