From what I could see in the pictures....#1 is a hen. Does look GCM
#2 Hen
#3 definately a roo
Black orp definately a roo...on the barred roo and black orp roo, look how the hackle and saddle feathers come down and are pointed.(lancets)
The #1 and #2 pictures what woul be saddle and hackle feathers appear to be rounded off. At that age that is the easiest way to tell the sex.
Rounded=pullet...pointed=roo
Thanks Harry. I knew the sexes of 1-3,just breed stumping me.I thought I could tell by eye color because the marans have the red eyes,but when I compared back to pics of my older BR they have the eyes too!!lol...sooo rule that out,then I looked for leg color.The #2 hen has the fleshy white legs but with an overcast over the front and top.The roo has white legs instead of yellow.Hen 1 has more the unpatterned Cuckoo look,while hen 2 (besides the gold leakage starting) has more defined patterning.
On the black bird.I was leaning roo of course.I know all the points to look for in hackles,saddle,sickles... but the BEHAVIOR!!! Not at all masculine...All feminine...Even sets in the same nestbox everytime.And the comb? Way too many points for one,but also so small.Especially for the age and size of the bird.He's HUGE!!!
Here's a pic of some of my Buffs..See the hen to the left? Her comb and wattles are almost the same...lol..While mackdaddy their on the right is ONLY 6 mos old !!! Younger than my blk.
