nOT.... so freakin tired...lol... DH helping out at the shop 12-13 hrs a day is killing me.....lol.... I just want 1!!! morning to sleep in a few minutes. But NO!!! I have a wide eyed pumpkin butt that precisely gets up,goes in the front turns on Mickey Mouse and proceeds to hit the fridge (She's 3!!!) before the birds chirp...lol....

Thank you!! I have multitudes of pallets laying around here and I'm sure I can get my hands on some old FEMA pipes.We have plumbing graveyards around here from where they tore up the FEMA parks. Mine would all be inside of their pens anyway, so they can go in their to get their food.I have to keep it Steve proof.....lol.

We got hit with a fast storm too yesterday.The rain came fast and hard,and I hear this loud house vibrating noise.Loud and piercing,so I run outside to check the skies for a tornado.Bad thing about where I live,I'm just outside of Nasa buffer zone.So you never know if they are firing up a rocket engine(which they do quite frequently during the week) or a frekin tornado(they say it sounds like a freight train coming). Luckily it was the engines.I could hear the power down after the full 5 minute push.We have the Boeing contracts...So all those planes that fly over you first got their start here bugging me....lol...

13 HOURS!!! and no posts? Is everyone ok?.....

Well Ive been psychotically scrubbing and rearanging the kitchen and living room areas.Tomorrow I think I may do some outside work. But as for now I am completely whooped,so NIGHT NIGHT!!

Good morning & TGIF to all you weekday warriors! Don't you love this cooler weather? I hope it chases some mosquitoes away!

Chickens are all mad at me because they are locked in the run today & not allowed to free roam, as my cousins will be combining the soybeans all around us (yay!! no more dust!!!!) aren't soybeans the ugliest crop when they are all dried up? Anyway, I sure don't want one of them to get caught up in the machinery.

Whiskey Bay that is cool about being so close to NASA, tornadoes do sound exactly like a freight train. I love the Pumpkin Hulseys too but out of room here -- really could stand to cut back some more as it is.

Heading outside to enjoy this weather & do some work around the yard! Have a good one everybody!

Good morning or should I say afternoon!

Starting my long work weekend on nights tonight.

But as soon as I get it over with I'll be off for 2 weeks!!

Having another injection in my back Wednesday!! Fun, fun... Hopefully we'll be able to clean our sheds out!! It so needs to be done and then I'll be able to get to my work benches and start making some candles again. Been having people beg me to make some for Christmas so I might try to make some extra money!!

Terri, your so right it's beautiful outside right now!! Went out and got my birds all fed and watered and it was so nice not to sweat!!

Good afternoon everyone! I am looking forward to the cooler weather this weekend. I hatched out 20 BLRW babies this past weekend, and they were moved out to the outside brooder a few minutes ago...too stinky to have them inside anymore, and one of my dogs is obsessed with them, lol! She cannot stop staring at them if I let her in the room. If anyone is looking for BLRW chicks or young cockerels, send me a PM! I also had to put down one of my lovely splash BLRW hens yesterday. She had a bad prolapsed vent.

Ah well, life on a farm.

Hey ya'll. What a day. I was off today. I spent yesterday evening and today clipping duck wings, dusting ALL of the chickens and turkeys (and still have more left) and tagging everyone with zip ties. I can barely move. I need a wheel chair to roll around in the chicken yard.

I am so sore. Anyone every try running down ducks using a net with holes in it? It ain't fun and it surely ain't pretty. The turkeys are so nosey, it's easy catching them. They just walk up to you wanting to see what's going on. I'm going back out there tonight when they all go in to roost. This should do it. I have to worm the sheep and goat next. Afterwards, I have to groom the rabbits. Trimming hooves is up next. I just did trimming.
