NO!!! He did not learn his lesson...He tried getting back to where he thought they were earlier.
I'm working on the weight. The dr changed my meds. She said my blood pressure was too low to stay on the other stuff. She said one of the biggest side effects of the new meds is weightloss!!! I said hmm,I think I can deal with that... I'd LOVE to lose 50lbs...

Speaking of Gumbo...Tony made some for us Friday. As I was clearing out the fridge this morning for scraps to add to the dog food,I came across a bowl with a lil bit in it so I added it.Well, when I put it out for the dogs,Steve liked it so much he was licking the bowl all over the yard... (remember..Steve is the horse)

Hope everyone has a good day.Later!!!

Good afternoon all!!!!!!!!! I see that everyone has been chatting it up. I had to catch up. Hadn't been on as much as I would like.

The weather is just wonderful. I found myself having to put on a jacket early in the morning as I went out to open the chicken coops.

I was off on Friday and today, so I took advantage of cleaning in the chicken yard. I"m whipped. I was able to sell 10 ducks to this guy. He said that he and his family had been looking for ducks for "special" Asian dishes that they make and one of the dishses includes BLOOD from the duck.

He said that it was some type of pizza and that it was messy. I didn't ask any questions.

I cleaned all of the chicken houses, the chicken stalls, brooders, etc. Changed out all of the old hay bedding from the nesting boxes and put fresh hay in and sprinkled Sevin Dust everywhere. I stumbled upon 7 cans of Sevin dust on sale at Dollar General for $1.00. I bought everything on the shelf. I asked the guy why was it on sale and he said that no one was buying it, so they marked it down. So, it came in handy being as though I was cleaning and needed more. It took me 3 days to dust all 165 chickens. And since I was dusting them, I decided to go ahead and de-worm all of them as well. I used Ivomec on the base of the neck but for the amount of time that it took to drop drops on their back, I could have squirted it in their mouths much quicker. I will have to read to see if the Ivomec can be squirted in their mouths. That would have been a lot easier. I washed and sanitized all of the waters and feeders and stored the extras feeders and waterers for next year. I'm done with babies for the year.

The rabbits have been groomed, nails clipped, ears cleaned and sprayed for mites. Also had to put in overtime on the Pea Pen because the ducks had been flying on top of the aviary and dropping poop in their avairy.

The pea girls don't like it being as though they demand that the place is kept up and tidy. There are still a few more ducks that I have to catch and clip their wings. I'm tempted to post an ad on Craigslist to give them away for free BUT with one catch. They have to catch them.

They can shoot them or run them down. At this point and time, I just want them GONE !!!!

The only thing that I have left is to put rabbit poo in the compost. I have never been this tired in a LONG TIME. But I feel much better knowing that everything is Spic and Span.

Terri, congrats on getting a new roof.

Yvette, I was thinking about Gumbo this weekend but was too tired to cook any. Did you get a chance to clean up the truck after the incident with Olivia?

I hope she is feeling better. How are those feeders coming along? I got an idea about feeders and waterers for my rabbits. It will be VERY simply. I'm not a big fan of bottle waterers and nipples. I like my animals to have large containers to drink out of. I will post a pic and soon as I cut it into shape.

Whiskey Bay, I hope you enjoyed your green tea. It works wonder for me.

hendrygg, good luck with the moving.

Paisaneaux, how was the chiropractor visit? I hope you are ok.

Missi, so you're the work "pimp"? Who knew?

Twiley, how is everything going on your end?

Well, it will be a short work week for me. Already looking forward to the weekend.

Take Care ya'll !!!

Good luck with your move.

Our carpet will be installed tomorrow then, we'll start moving furniture around. I don't expect to be finished until next weekend. Or, at least I hope to be done by then.

Hey all! Long day at the Post Office today...they just throw you to the wolves as far as training goes, so it has been a steep learning curve! I did sell a couple roosters this evening, and the guy wants a couple hens and some fresh eggs too! I wasn't home to get everything together, so the guy will be back tomorrow to see what we can do!

This weather has been absolutely beautiful, no wonder there hasn't been much chatter on the thread! I still can't believe the size of the hail Terri had! Yikes!

Also, I wanted to know if there was any more word on the Louisianachickens.com Fall Swap? There isn't much activity over there and was hoping we could get something together, but since there hasn't been any news I assume there were issues with a venue or what not. Maybe we could do a Chickenstock or swap meet at a TSC in the future. Those sound like a lot of fun!

Well, I have been up since 5am, I am going to hit the hay!
