It's the equipment you have to rent that cost so dang much!! And that's usually for a week.

So someone that already has the equipment can't come out and do it cheaper? I'm sure you already checked in to that though. The lowest price that I got when I had people coming out to give me quotes was $200.00 to dig my gumbo pot pond and I was complaining and being cheap about that. I better call them and tell them to get started. Thanks for the insight Missi.

Mike, here are pics of the three geese moving to your house.

The two curly geese are males. The smooth breasted one in the background is supposed to be a female. I bought her from Gracie in spring. Gracie, you can see how pretty she's turning out to be.

Here's another pic of the three of them together.

Here's another pic of the white female. She's somewhat shy and isn't eager to be photographed like the two males.

Here are a couple of close up pics on the white male.

Here are a couple of closeups of the blue gander. He has very nice feathering. He is just one frilly mess!

Also, I believe that he is carrying the buff color gene. It's hard to tell from the picture, but, if you look closely on his back and going toward his tail he has some buff/tan coloring. It'll be very interesting to see what color offspring he'll produce.

All of these geese were hatched this past spring.

On the pond digging

Julie if someone will dig you 25x5 for $200 you should really think about it. Thats alot of digging and dirt I promise

Missy 3 acres is alot of pond

I dont have any that big but a backhoe is minimum the machine you would need . I would look more to a track hoe and spend less time digging

Martha hatch lookin good here only 2 not headed to the finish line. Will get you some extras lined up soon

Pete got them birds lined out
