"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Hey everyone! I've been VERY busy working on a family video I do every year for Christmas. My eyes are still bloodshot from all the time spent in front of the computer.

Mike, it looks like I've got 2 chicks and 2 roos. I'm basing my thoughts on their overall color. I figured they were similar to barred rocks which I have had before. The roos are lighter than the pullets. Does it work that way with Doms? They are really growing fast and are very friendly. Thanks so much!!

All I have left at the moment are 4 BR's and 3 black sex-links all are about 6 months old and just started laying in the last 3 weeks. I also have 4 BR chicks about 2 weeks old if your looking for chicks.

Heya!!! been on the hop here-- getting back into 'work' mode-- sure wish I'd win the lottery, did ya'll hear some lucky fellow in BR won the state lottery? a cool million + -- I could live comfortably on that!

I got the peas' hanging feeder installed yesterday & set up a nesting station consisting of a big old dog house filled with hay -- I wish you could've seen all the head-turning & "walk-like-an-Egyptian" going on -- it was hilarious! Also cleaned out the coop & put in new shavings & new hay in the nesting boxes. And like to froze in the chilly wind! It was nice when you were in the sun out of the wind though.

Not a whole lot going on here, just trying to get back in the groove. Egg laying is picking up, I'm averaging 4-5 a day now & I marked all this on my calendar last year & it happened exactly the same time -- it's really neat how they are on such a definite cycle. They took a couple months' break, moulted & now are getting back into the swing of things.

Jim goes next week for another checkup & hopefully maybe will get to do away with his crutches. Yes, we are still living life with crutches. But there is light at the end of the tunnel!

Have a good evening everybody!

Yea the lighter ones should be roos. I have about 12 in the brooders now so if you get close let me know and you can get chicks instead of eggs
