So I couldn't resist...

One of my seramas died last week, and I had a few of her eggs. My other serama strangly had been laying as well, soooooooooooo

Look how small serama eggs are in a regular turner

You should splurge and get that incubator.

Before I die, I want to get an incubator and try it out. I'm scared that I may like it and try hatching more than I need. And I"m also scared that my electric bill will increase because it has to be plugged in all day and all night.

Julie, I never noticed any difference in my electric bill the whole time I was using mine!!

Hey everyone! I've been so busy with work I haven't had much computer time lately, so I have been pretty absent from the thread. In light of the Chicken Expo that is going to be in Monroe, I have an idea. I cannot attend because I work every Saturday, and it is just too far for me to drive even though I would love to attend. So I would like to set up a Chicken Sale/Swap/Social Event in Covington, LA sometime in Mid-March, possibly the 11 or 18. I was thinking from 11 or 12-5, since some may be attending church in the morning. I have to do it on a Sunday since I work on Saturday. I am trying to see if there will be enough interest, so I can proceed with trying to find a location(maybe TSC) and start advertising to find people who want to participate. If there was enough interest and turnout, we could possibly turn it into a monthly or bi-monthly event.

So, who would be interested in attending? Anyone that would be interested in helping to organize? Any ideas or suggestions? Should I start a new thread for discussing this? Thanks!

If it's on the 11th I can attend. If you do get it up and going I can help out the day of!
