Morning y'all :) well my eggs have started to hatch and I have one baby chick under two minkes so hopefully a few more hatch so the atleast get to both be mommas since they both sat on them the whole time lol . Y'all have a great day and the duckling/ gosling pics are too cute :)

I have 10 Mallard duck eggs, 11 Rio Grande turkey eggs and 18 Guinea eggs in mine right now. In 7 days I'm gonna add a couple of dozen BBS Marans so the turkeys, guineas
Wow! You have quite a mix going. Other than the free pest control service, why does everyone want guineas? I am not very familiar with them and don't know anyone who has had them. All I know is they are neat looking birds that eat a lot of bugs lol! Oh, and I've heard that they are great alarm systems. Will they let you handle them at all?
Guinea gumbo is delicious !!!!!!!!!! :drool

Do you KNOW what duckies really DO in the water? :sick    I love my ducks and geese but I'm not going to swim with them.

You're absolutely right though -- they are hilarious to watch. They are certainly my best therapy for stress.  :thumbsup

I'm not drinking the water!!! LOL They aren't old enough to do the deed in there yet either! Just baby ducky potty, it washes off and its not like the kids don't pee in the pool, or drunk adults as well. :barnie Here are my three babies on their duck island a few minutes ago! They are so fun to watch!! I swear if I could swim that well I would live in the water too!

TOO CUTE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

These are pics of my sebbie goslings hatched this spring. I hope to hatch a few more over the next few weeks. Gracie, I'd appreciate any insight that you may have to offer as to color or markings. With the exception of the Buff Saddleback, all of these goslings are from your smooth breasted goose I got from you last year that was bred to a curly white gander. Your female has nice broad, long feathers. My male has lots of curl and his feathering is very fine -- in some places on his body he looks like he has fur instead of feathers. I'm hoping that the combination of the two make for some NICELY feathered birds.

White gosling #1

White gosling #2

Splash? Saddleback? Gray? Other? #3  This gosling had dark marks on the beak but did not have dark legs therefore I really don't think it's a gray. The new feathers on the back are light gray.

Splash? Saddleback? Gray? Other? #4 This gosling is very similar to gosling #3 above except that the color is not as intense. It appears to have more white dispersed throughout. I'm thinking splash? Also, it had dark marks on the beak but did not have dark legs therefore I really don't think it's a gray.

Buff Saddleback #5. This one I'm DEFINITELY keeping!

Newest goslings hatched Thursday.

WOW!!! Look how big !!!!!!!! They are gorgeous! :love

I'm still wanting the sebbies!

Does (or will) anyone have a couple of goslings that aren't sold or spoken for yet?
I'll be taking 4 of them to the Opelousas swap tomorrow if you want to meet me! Or you can pick them up on Monday at my house.
Did you go to the swap meet? How was it?
