"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Terri, I did a search on yahoo and pulled up pics of white pea chicks and this is what I found. My baby looks EXACTLY like them. And I couldn't resist the pic of the white adult peacock. I'm sure hoping.

I took a pic of the baby with it's parents this weekend. The meeting DID NOT go well. They looked at it for a few seconds and then one of the girls pecked it. That was the end of the meet and greet. :hit

Here is a pic of my baby riding in the truck with me this weekend. It was very alert the first day (Saturday) but when I took it for a ride on Sunday it went to sleep.

Hi everyone! I'm lovin all the duck and pea pics. My friends were changing the water in their duck pond every day or so, and I suggested Duckponics. They looked at me like I was crazy, then actually built the darn thing :D
The plastic grow bed was the original pond. They drained it, and dug another pond next to it (they moved the old pond outside the fence to keep all of the birds/goats out of it.

In this pic, you can see that the ducks/geese have it stirred up, but you can still see the bottom. Its knee deep there.

additional solids filter.

Clear water!

The gravel bed is a piece of floating dock that my pal salvaged, and the swirl filter is an old swimming pool filter that I salvaged from a pool shop dumpster. He built a bell siphon in the bed that fills/drains every 15 minutes. When the swirl filter gets loaded up with solids, one can just oped the valve at the bottom and clear it.
