I currently live in NOLA and roosters have recently been banned. I run Kasia's Ark Bird Rescue and have mostly roosters because everyone is giving them to me. I'm looking at a house in Ponchatoula, but the owner doesn't know the zoning laws regarding chickens (roosters mainly) in the 70454 zip code area. I've looked online with no luck so far. I work in Independence, La and would like a place there, but just found out that they just outlawed chickens in Independence. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

Hi from Terrytown ( just outside NOLA ). Does anyone know rules for roosters in Jefferson Parish. My neighbor has one and he starts crowing at 4am. I love my girls because they don't bother me or my neighbors.
