thanks for the offer it might be a while though. just about all of east and south terrebonne parish is flooded from ike so we are definatly gonna go look for a home on the west side but we are afraid they are gonna go crazy with the prices of houses there ,it might be too much for us to afford but i will let you know thank you...wendy

Hi I am new posting here but have been reading the forum for a few month now. I live in St. Tammany Parish and am new to the joys of having chickens. We have a mixture of breeds some I think are full blooded and some or mixed. I am having a rooster problem and hope that maybe someone can guide me in what to do. I have all bantams ....right now I have 19 hens and was trying to have 2 roosters but one is a bit dominate so the other stays hiding inside the nest boxes. Is there any way to get them to live in peace??

So sorry to hear about your home, my oldest son works in Houma and he has told us how badly its messed up. When you get ready for more chicks I will gladly share some of mine or some of my eggs.

Hi, just getting back on here. We did not loose power with Ike. thank you Lord! (We did with Gustav, but thank God my husband bought a generator during hurricane season in 2005)

We got more rain from Ike and wind. But Gustav was worse for us in our area of Grant Parish. I know others got worse from Ike. I feel for them and my prayers are with them.

My sister lives in Norht Houston. she is still without power from Ike. But at least they did not flood. Thank God for that. Galveston is horrible! My husband works offshore and all the ports are flooded from Galveston to the west side of New Orleans. He finally got a call today and it looks like he will be heading back offshore Friday. I pray so. This year has been a finacial nightmare. But we are trusting in God to pull us through. He has never failed us

Prayers for all affected by Gustav and Ike. I pray this is the end of the hurricanes for 2008 also !
