Louuudddd chickens

Hi so I'm a longtime lurker and a new poster!

I've had these chickens for about a year, but for the past couple of days, they've been increasingly getting louder, making all sorts of grumbling, clucking and other sounds in addition to the egg laying sound. They're also standing by the door a lot... I have thought that maybe they're just begging for snacks? Or maybe they are upset because we just found (& took) a massive mound of eggs that we found in the compost last night? Anyway, why are they being like this

Day light period is increasing and so are their hormones plus they want more snacks.

...and so now you will keep them confined to train them to lay in the coop nests?
Yes, that will raise much protestation.......be strong leave them confined, they'll get over it.
