Love chickens

Hello BYC members! Newbie to BYC but not to chickens. I have raised layers and meat chickens off and on for the past 40 years and thought I was done! I have a 4 x 12 coop on wheels (we built) just sitting there and I refuse to pay the current egg prices. I previously have had Silkies, Leghorn, and RIR. In late May, I am getting 10 Buff Orpington pullets and can't wait to have some animals on the property again. I hope to contribute some knowledge and also learn new things from you as well. I also enjoy fostering kittens for the local Humane Society.

I hope you enjoy them as much as I do mine.My flock has a run and free ranges too.I don't have any pasture for a chicken tractor but I do have one I use as an emergency coop.

Welcome to BYC! Coops on wheels are so neat! The current egg prices are ridiculous lol! I love silkies! Orpingtons are a great breed! And its so cool how you foster for the humane society!!!
