Well I live in far west Texas, it is very dry here. It is super hot though, doesn't seem to bother them.

I have noticed my the egg layer, starts to pant quite a bit before she lays an egg. Is this normal? I wonder if is super painful, or at least if it feels like menstrual cramps.

I have two.
They are my sons old baby monitors.
Resell value is horrible so I figured I would put them to good use.
They are great except they are b&w so it's hard to tell chickens of the same breed apart (like my two marans) and sometimes the chickens knock them over so I have to go reset them.
Unfortunately she didn't lay today.
Hopefully tomorrow.
