Hello friends! I live in Redwood City, California, and have had backyard chickens for the past eight years. Have just lost a couple of chickens due to illness and old age, so I am adding several new pullets to my flock. I’m always full of questions as every chicken is different! So happy to be here!!

Hard to loose the old.

It is so very hard to lose the old. I feel like my chickens are my pets, so I take it very hard when I lose one. Here is Lola, our Buff Orpington, who just passed. She was top of the flock, and what a special hen she was!
