Hello everyone! I am a brand new chicken enthusist! My hubby and I had been talking chickens for years ane this spring we finaly dove in. We decided to start small and purcheased 6 straight run Golden Wyandotte chicks at our local TSC. My husband built them a beautiful coop and things were going great.......until they reached 16 week and we realized we had 1 hen and 5 roosters! Lol well we had heard they were a great duel purpose bird so we are going to eat a few. But I really wanted a few more egg layers. Well my hubby decided to surprise me with 17 MORE pullets! So much for starting small! Haha go big or go home
