Have yet to introduce myself although I've been here for a couple months now. My name is Linda. I have two grown children & 4 granddaughters (one just born last week). My husband enjoys restoring old cars and is currently making my tractor drawing multi-dimensional out in the driveway (spoils me rotten). Love this site. Have no chickens yet. Plan to renovate a small storage shed in the Spring also. Want to be prepared. Plan on day-old chicks in March. My family thinks I've lost my mind but retired now and need a diversion. Loved visiting family farms as a child and before I was born, my grandmother (who raised me) had hundreds of layers. She actually bought & paid for a farm with her egg money during the depression.
Anyway, I'm hopefully absorbing all the knowledge I can here and will be prepared. Thank you all for the sound (if sometimes contradictory {makes the world go round}) advise.
